Fundraising Policy

FUNDRAISING POLICY

Each family is required to raise a minimum of $200 each year.  The team provides several fundraising events throughout the year to help meet this requirement.  Be sure to check how much of each event applies to the $200 requirement.

Some examples are below:

1.      Selling products such as food, body care, or other products :   A percentage of the product sales apply toward the $200.

2.      Have a business sponsor the team : The business can then be recognized on the web site.  The highest donating business is listed on the top of the sponsorship list.  All business donations are tax deductible, as we are a non-profit organization.  80% of all sponsorships are applied toward the family requirement.

3.      Swim-a-thon :  The team hosts an annual Swim-a-Thon, which is a special fundraiser associated with USA Swimming.  Swimmers of all levels can participate by receiving pledges for each lap they swim in two hours.  Donors can also make flat donations.  All donations are tax deductible. The first $50 raised at the Swim-a-Thon goes into the team’s general fund and helps cover administrative and other support costs.  Any amount above the $50 goes directly toward the $200 requirement at a dollar-for-dollar rate.  The top two fundraising families will each receive a $50 credit to be applied to swim dues.  This credit may not be taken as cash.

There will also be incentives and rewards for the top CROC fundraiser of the year. The top CROC fundraiser will receive a $100 credit and the second top CROC fundraiser will receive a $50 credit to be applied to swim dues. These incentives and awards may not be taken as cash.
